Decoupage Your Travel Memories
Travelling is a great opportunity for everyone to discover new things. Unfortunately though, the sights, sounds, and adventures one get to encounter during trips are generally once in a lifetime moments for most people, never to be experienced again. This is the reason why a great number of individuals who go on tours and vacations aggressively try to preserve the memories through various kinds of souvenirs. Upon getting home, these souvenirs are then kept in albums or in glass cabinets.
However, have you ever wondered if there is a better way to cherish these souvenirs? If you just put your travel photos in an album, chances are you do not get to see them very often. If you decide to frame pictures, the cost of the frames and printing can limit your options. As for those brochures, table napkins, and other small materials you have picked up along the way - what generally happens to them is that they get stored in drawers or thrown away later. Do you not think this is a very poor way of appreciating and nurturing your travel memories?
If you want a better way of keeping and displaying your souvenirs and photos, then you should decoupage them! Decoupage is basically a paper craft but you can also use those table napkins and brochures along with your pictures. Arrange them in a surface of your choice (wall, tabletop, chairs, cabinet, pottery, etc.). Stick them to that surface and apply a decoupage medium for a great finish. With this, you now have a more creative way of cherishing your travel memories!
